Skånetrafiken moves ahead with Jojo smart card
Jan 6, 2010
Skånetrafiken (www.skanetrafiken.se), the Swedish transport authority covering the southern part of Sweden, recently finished the pilot phase of their new smart card system "Jojo" and proceeded into full production. The solution includes the use of Cubic as the smart card provider and Boomerang for integration, customer and product management, personalization, and customer support. Passengers can manage their cards on their personal web pages. For example, passengers can order, register, and block lost cards.
A key aspect is that the passenger is provided a seamless experience in relation to their other services on the web. Says Sabet Peyman, Sales Director at Skånetrafiken: "We are very excited to move into a full scale launch. With Boomerang as one of the key components, we are able to offer a smart card system with integrated web self-service capabilities for passengers. Also, we will be able to collect highly valuable data and use this to provide a better service to each passenger".
